Gutter Cleaning & Brightening
Full hand scoop + flush, plus exterior brightening for tiger-stripe removal. Camera-confirmed clog-free flow.
How we approach gutter cleaning on Long Island.
A standard LI gutter cleaning means a ladder, gloves, and a scoop — we remove every leaf, twig, and shingle grit from every linear foot, bag it, and flush the downspouts until water flows free. We confirm flow with a phone camera and email you the video.
The second half of the job is exterior brightening. Those vertical black stripes ("tiger stripes") on the face of the gutters are oxidation from old tar bleeding out of asphalt shingles. We apply a non-acidic gutter brightener, scrub by hand, rinse, and most stripes come out completely. Severe cases need two passes.
Leaf guards? We can work around them, but on some models (hoods vs. screens) the only honest path is removing, cleaning, and reinstalling. We tell you before we start.

Common questions.
Twice a year: late spring (after oak pollen drop) and late fall (after leaves). Properties under big oak or pine canopy may need 3x.
